Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

When someone submits a card, we store only what they typed into the form:

• Nickname — shown on the card.
• Instagram handle — optional. Shown on the card only if provided.
• The card contents — short text fields describing an item, a place, or a room, plus one or two photos.
• Hashed IP addresses — used to limit spam and to prevent duplicate reactions. We keep two kinds, and both are salted hashes. A rotating hash mixes in the current date, so it cannot be matched with the value from another day; it is what stops the same device from reacting to the same card twice in one day. A non-rotating hash does not change over time, and is used to block abusive submissions and to stop the same person from reporting a card repeatedly — if it rotated, a block would lift itself after a day. In both cases we never store the original IP address and cannot recover it.
• An author key — a random token that lets the submitter edit or delete their own card. It is stored as a hash. It is not linked to any identity.

We do not collect location data, contacts, device identifiers, or advertising identifiers.

2. Photos

Photos are uploaded by the person submitting the card and are published publicly as part of that card. Do not upload photos of other people without their consent. If a photo of you was posted without permission, contact us and we will remove it — see section 6.

3. Third parties who process this data

To publish a card we pass parts of it to the following services. Each receives only what it needs.

• DeepL and Anthropic (Claude) — the Korean text you submit is sent to these translation services to produce the English and other language versions. Nickname, email, and IP are not sent.
• Google Cloud Vision — uploaded photos are checked automatically for unsafe content.
• Cloudflare — bot protection on the submission form.
• Supabase (database), Naver Cloud Platform (photo storage), Upstash (rate limiting), Vercel (hosting).

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.

4. Pinterest and other social platforms

We publish card images to our own Pinterest, Instagram, and other social accounts, linking back to the card page. These images contain only what the submitter chose to put on the card. We never post to anyone else’s account, and we do not read other people’s social media data.

5. How long we keep it

Cards remain published until the submitter deletes them or we remove them. The rotating hashed IP values used to prevent duplicate reactions change every day, so a value from yesterday cannot be linked to today’s. Blocks and reports are not short-lived: when an address is blocked for spam or abuse, that record and its non-rotating hash are kept for as long as the block applies.

6. Your choices and deletion

• Delete your own card — use the private author link you received when you submitted it.
• Lost the link, or want something else removed — email hello@seoulsaram.co. We aim to respond within 24 hours.

Because there are no accounts, we may ask you to identify the specific card so we remove the right one.

7. Cookies and local storage

We use your browser’s local storage to keep a convenience copy of your author key so you can find your own cards again. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

8. Children

This site is not directed at children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

9. Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.

• 광고·추적 쿠키를 사용하지 않으며, 개인정보를 판매하지 않습니다.
